Originally a church for fishermen and skippers. Nowadays, behind the imposing doors you will find a cultural centre where everything happens.
The Oosterkerk is the second oldest church in Hoorn. It's no coincidence that this church is near the Port Quarter. Originally, the Oosterkerk is a church of skippers and fishermen. After some renovations, the church was rebuilt in stone in 1519. Today, this building still stands and offers a beautiful organ and various cultural activities. Think, for example, of concerts and congresses.
