Oosterpoort
Only remaining city gate of Hoorn located next to the Oosterplansoen. The brickwork arch bridge takes you to the other side of the Draafsingel.
The in 1578 by Joost Jansz. Bilhamer built gate was part of the defensive moat Draafsingel. The original wooden bridge was replaced in 1763 by the current brickwork arch bridge. The walk to the Oosterpoort is nice to combine with a visit to the Oosterplantsoen next door.
