The picturesque courtyard Het Boshuisengasthuis is a national monument in Leeuwarden. It's nice to take a look and feel the peace.
The Boshuisengasthuis is a national monument in Leeuwarden and a hidden gem in the city. The guesthouse was founded in 1652 by Anna van Eysinga, widow of Philip van Boshuizen. On the walls of the outer gate you will find the following special Frisian text: Het je staet, uijt nijt oft haet but not beschout. To poverty help and widow comfort it is built. In the 20th century, the rooms were merged and converted into homes.
