The beautiful Gothic church in the bustling city centre is called the Domkerk. This striking attraction is not to be missed in Utrecht.
The striking Gothic church in the middle of the city is the Domkerk. From 1254 the church was built as a cathedral of the Roman Catholic diocese of Utrecht. The church has been Protestant since 1580. The Domtoren is no less than 112,32 meters high and is therefore the highest church tower in the Netherlands. In the interior you will find many special sights, such as the cross nave, the beautiful sculpture and the beautiful murals. The church is open seven days a week and highly recommended. After a tour of the beautiful cathedral, you can have a nice cup of coffee or have lunch in the DOMCafé.
