Located on the Grote Markt you will find the town hall. Admire this beautiful building with the vigilant Lady Justice watching the square.
This town hall was built in 1250 by Count Floris V. He used the hunting lodge as a dwelling house when he came to Haarlem to collect taxes. His son donated the building to the city. During a major city fire in 1351, the lock almost completely burned down. After the reconstruction, it got its current function as town hall. Admire this beautiful building, but watch what you do! Lady Justitia oversees the square from the façade.
