Through exciting, interactive exhibitions, the story of 500 years of maritime history is told in a building that forms the heart of that history, the rugged Seawarehouse. Buiten the museum there is also an exact copy of the famous VOC ship that was already on its first voyage in 1749. Visit the 'Amsterdam' and experience how it feels to hoist loads, crawl through the hold and shoot a cannon.
