You will return in time when you walk into this spice shop. The authentic decor has changed little since the 18th century.
For the rich history of this company we have to go back to 1743, when Jacob Hooy opened a spice stall on the Amsterdam Nieuwmarkt. Over time, the company moved to the now well-known store on the Kloveniersbrugwal. Since that time, not much has changed in the decor of the store. The pharmacy cabinets, beautiful scales, wooden barrels and the two hoses above the counter are all still to be admired. In Jacob Hooy you can go for delicious herbs, spices and organic tea. But also for cream, oil, shampoo and all kinds of other products you can walk in here.
