Het Kruithuisje
Hidden under large chestnut trees is the Kruithuisje. Enjoy a cup of coffee or tea in this small 5-metre gallery.
A special spot in the Singelpark in Alkmaar. This square house of 5 by 5 meters was built there in the 18th century and served for the storage of gunpowder and weapons. After years of neglect, vacancy and fire, the herb house has been renovated. Since July 2013 there is a gallery, coffee & tea house located in it. Every month there is a changing exhibition. Drink a nice cup of coffee or tea inside, or outside under the large chestnut trees and enjoy the peace, art and people.
