Heeren van Sonoy is a unique & atmospheric restaurant on a special location in the heart of Alkmaar. Set in a characteristic 16th century monastery. A beautiful place where Alkmaar history and contemporary culinary delights meet each other in a sublime way. In the 15th century, a monastery was built north of the city of Alkmaar.
In the 16th century, the complex passed into the hands of Mr. Willem Bardes. He had the former monastery converted into a spacious housing and expanded the building with the striking watchtower. After a number of other filings, De Heeren van Sonoy is now located in this historic building. They offer a wide choice of dishes, from fish to meat and vegetarian. You can also enjoy the popular concept 'Proefpourri” (tapas) 'in which you can enjoy unlimited use of a customized card. Heeren van Sonoy is open every day for both coffee and cakes, lunch and dinner.
