Come and stay in the striking Waag, also known as the living room of Leiden, where you have lunch and dinner in a beautiful, historic atmosphere.
The Leidse Waag is a monument with a rich history. The building, which has been on the Aalmarkt since 1657, used to be the place where merchants from other cities had their products weighed and checked. Since 2015, the Waag has been the lively heart of the city. Lunch or dine under the magnificent vaults of the monumental Boterhal or in the new glass extension. On the menu you will find everything from delicious sandwiches, soups and salads during the day to steak, fish and beet risotto in the evening. Many of the dishes are prepared at Waag Leiden on a traditional grill that creates a subtle charcoal flavour. From early morning until late evening, the doors of the Waag are open for you.
