In the centre of The Hague you can see the beautiful Grote Kerk. Where it used to serve as a church, today events are organized.
The Grote or Sint Jacobskerk, together with the courtyard, is one of the oldest buildings in the city of The Hague. In the past, the Grote Kerk was a Catholic church which was later reformed into a reformed church. When the number of visitors decreased in the 20th century, it was almost decided in 1981 to demolish the church. Until a number of citizens set up the Grote Kerk Foundation and the church was given a new function in this way. Nowadays, everything is organized. From concerts and exhibitions to fairs, receptions and weddings.
