A church with a royal allure. In this church is the royal crypt where the Oranjes find their final resting place.
The Nieuwe Kerk is closely linked to the history of the Oranjes. Especially the particularly beautiful tomb of William of Orange, the Father of the Fatherlands, gives the church its royal allure. Since Willem van Oranje, almost all members have been placed in the Royal burial cellars. In the church there is a lot to learn about the history of the Oranjes through information columns. Also, do not forget to admire the beautiful stained glass windows. Of course, a climb of the tower should not be missed during a visit. After a climb of 376 steps you have a magnificent view over historic Delft at 85 meters altitude. But don't lean too far.
